The Adolescents Coping with Emotions (ACE) Program aims to:
The ACE Program is a cognitive behavioural program for early intervention in depression with adolescents aged 14-16 with depressive symptoms or at risk of depression.
The ACE Program uses cognitive behavioural techniques, as well as teaching interpersonal skills.
The R.E.A.D. Clinic is coordinating the ACE Program for adolescents (boys and girls aged 14-16, who are at risk of depression.
$70.00 per lesson, total cost of program is $560.00
A medicare rebate may apply if you obtain a referral for your child to attend the group from your GP (a BAMH).
The outline of the My Esteem Program is detailed below in very broad themes and topics that are covered each week. Each lesson is 90 minutes in length.

Lesson 2: Get Real Thinking
Lesson 3: More Get Real Thinking – dealing with conflict
Lesson 4: More Get Real in social situations and Improving Social Skills
Lesson 5: Assertiveness
Lesson 6: Negotiation and Self-Esteem
Lesson 7: Problem Solving and Having Fun
Lesson 8: Positive coping skills and review of ACE
The ACE Program runs weekly for 90 minute lessons for 8 weeks.
The Friends for Life Program only allows for up to 10 participants in the group.
